As such the idiosyncrasies of these enhancements, if any exist are largely beyond our control.
Privacy Policy
In addition to server access logs the only information we may store about you (in our databases) when you use this site is your IP, email and in some circumstances your host address. If the only interaction you have with this site is reading, then none of the fore mentioned data is stored in our database.
With the exception of the above, all other statistical information about you as a visitor to Bit-Cast.net is collected and processed by external services and third-party companies. Our primary method of gaining statistical information is through the Google Analytics™ web analytics service. No personal information such as your name, or address can be used to identify you, however the Google Analytics™ web analytics service maybe able to track your general location to either a country or city.

As we use third-parties to gain statistical data about our visitors we our selves cannot guarantee the integrity of any information collected as it is stored on our service provider's systems. Commenting System
Note: Please be aware that this feature is currently in beta (testing) and is provided as is. Where applicable it falls under the same conditions laid out in the disclaimer above. Given that the system is in Beta it could be subject to periods of inaccessibility, changes or amendments to the way it functions.
From March 2010 Bit-Cast.net has added a feature which allows you the reader to leave feedback, suggestions and opinions to our work and also to the comments of others that participate in the user generated commenting system. If you wish to leave comments, then you will need to register an account with us first and then activate it. Here is some general information about the signup process that you need to know:
Registration Process
- Screen Name:The screen name you choose will be visible to other users, please use your better judgement when deciding on a name i.e avoid offensive and obscene screen names. The name you choose has to be between 3 and 15 characters in length and can only comprise of letters, numbers, underscore, dot and apostrophe characters. You may find that the screen name you want is taken, or is not allowed by our system (doesn't pass our bad word list). If this is the case then please just try another name.
- Passwords: Passwords must be between 6 and 15 characters long and must contain at least one captital letter and one number.

Email: Your email address is required so that we can email you with an activation code. We do this to make it more difficult
for spammers, time wasters and bots to use the service. No one want's to see their crap on any site and neither do we at Bit-Cast.net.
Your email address can be up to 45 characters in length and won't be shown publicly, it is also encryped on our system. We will never disclose, sell, or willingly share this address with anyone.
It should be noted that when you sign up, your activation email may go to your Junk folder, please check this folder if the email does not appear in your Inbox. If you don't get the email after 48 hours then you can contact us to report the issue.
Rules of Engagement
We welcome your feedback and we wish to build a friendly, welcoming community here at Bit-Cast.net. However to do this there a few responsibilities (rules if you like) that we must all adhere to:
- Age restrictions on using the commenting system: This site is not targetted at children. Therefore If you are under 13 years of age then you are kindly asked to not use any part of this site that requires registration, including the commenting system. If we learn that you are posting comments to this site and are under 13 years of age then access to your account will be removed as soon as possible. If you have good grounds to suspect that a member is under 13 then you are encouraged to contact us, to let us know. Those between the ages of 13 and 17 should get permission from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before using any part of this site that requires registration.
- No harassing, mocking, flaming, or abusing other members or Bit-Cast contributors. Do not post hatful, threatening, vulgar, obscene, or slanderous comments. Disagreements or even respectful arguments and debates are expected and in appropriate cases even welcomed, but do not step over the line.
- Do not post comments where you are impersonating, imitating or pretending to be someone other than yourself.
- Please do not post personally identifiable information about your self or other members. We consider the following to be personally identifiable information: name, address, age, credit card numbers and email addresses.
- Mild language is acceptible, but don't use exessive, derogitory or obcene language. Use your common sense and be aware that your comments are viewable to the world and to people of all ages and social corners.
- Post constructive comments, don't post pointless jibberish and avoid going off the topic of the parent article.
- No spamming or posting troll content. If you want attention you will get it in the form of your account being banned, if required.
- Try to be as punctual as you possibly can and avoid only posting trashy stuff like lol or FIRST. These kinds of comments just aren't constructive and no one wants to waste their time reading stuff like that.

If you have something to sell, then seek out eBay or Craigs List. If you try to sell something here you will be considered a
spammer and if it is brought to our attention, your post will be removed, possibly without warning.
If you happen to come across a member trying to sell or shift something, even for free then you should report the comment to us. Under no circumstances should you participate in the exchange of financial or personally identifiable information through the Bit-Cast.net commenting system.
We do not endorse or support monetary exchanges within our commenting system by our members. Bit-Cast.net has no contact with our members in a way that can gives us the ability to verify their identity; therefore we cannot vouch for them in this regard and we cannot help you if you get conned out of something. You have been warned, other than reporting such postings, don't get involved or caught up in them.
Reporting Inappropriate or Abusive Comments
To aid in the weeding out of any junk, we have built into every comment a 'Report' link, which is situated towards the bottom right of each comment. You as a member may use this to report any comment that you feel isn't appropriate, but again please don't spam or misues the reporting system, use your common sense when reporting something.
Final Note
To preserve the integrity of this service and security, Bit-Cast.net reserves the right to remove any comment or members access without prior warning and at our discretion. If you don't agree with these guidelines then don't use the commenting system. All user generated comments are the responsibility of the original author of said comments, Bit-Cast.net is not responsible for the viewpoints and opinions submitted by our members and readers. The information presented here maybe amended, updated or changed at any time and without notice. As stated at the top of the Terms and Conditions you should check this page from time to time for any changes there might be.
